Balancing Elements is used by placing another object to fill the void of a photo without diverting too much attention from the subject. In the photo of the larger tree, a blue dumpster contrasts with the green of the plants causing it to stand out enough to fill the void, but not enough to draw to much attention to the tree and plants. The photo of the other tree uses the bright pillars and the buildings to fill the void.
